KiD CuDi is constantly hounded by fans about when he’ll be releasing the final installment in his Man On The Moon trilogy series.  So the young hip-hop head took to twitter to finally clear the air.  In a series of tweets, the exhausted rapper/singer explains that there will be no Man On The Moon 3, and that the MOTM3 title was just a placeholder for his new material.

He goes on to state that he’s evolved as a musician, and although he recognizes that his first two albums were great and “timeless” he doesn’t see himself returning to that sound ever again.  “So, if you dont like what Im doin now, please abort the train. Do not buy my music from here on out. Its not for you. No hard feelings.” said CuDi.  He later says that he’ll be announcing the release date for his next album Speedin Bullet To Heaven very soon.

Although I’m sure a lot of fans are disappointed by CuDi’s decision to abandon his sound, it’s important to realize that he’s a musician and always trying to evolve.  CuDi is constantly exploring different areas by doing things like acting, creating WZRD (his experimental rock project with Dot Da Genius), or joining the hit show Comedy Bang Bang.  The one thing that is always certain about Scott Mescudi is that he’s always trying something new.  So even though he says that he’ll never return to that sound right now, we should remember that he’s in a point in his career where he wants to experiment with new things.  And who knows what the future has in store.  It took the great Jay-Z seven years to follow up his monumental Blueprint 2 with the Blueprint 3, and it’s only been five years since MOTM2…
